THE mother of four Worcestershire children left orphaned after both parents died on holiday has been repatriated to the UK.

Mathilde Lamb – known as Tilly – and from Pensham, near Pershore, had been holidaying with her husband Roger and their four boys in the Moroccan port of Essaouiria earlier this month when both she and her husband died in separate accidents.

Mrs Lamb died following a fall from a third floor balcony at the family’s rented villa in the old city quarter on Wednesday, August 17.

Her body was flown back to her family’s home county of Wiltshire over the bank holiday weekend.

No date for the inquest has yet been set.

Meanwhile, it is still unclear when Mr Lamb’s body will be returned to the UK as Wiltshire Police say they have received no instructions from the county’s coroner. It is understood West Mercia Police have also received no instructions from Worcestershire’s coroner.

Mr Lamb died in a fall from the balcony of the Hotel Sofitel four days after his wife.

The couple’s four sons, aged nine to 16, are being looked after by family in the UK. A Wiltshire Police spokeswoman said: “Mrs Lamb has been repatriated.

“We have no information on when the inquest into Mrs Lamb’s death will be.

“At the moment we don’t know if we are dealing with Mr Lamb as we have had no instruction from the coroner.”
