A DROITWICH butcher is hanging up his apron after serving customers for 50 years.
Sixty-five-year-old Andrew Duggan is handing over the reins at Queen Street Butchers to his two sons – Andrew and Mark. Mr Duggan started working at the shop when he was a teenager and he has now been serving the community for half a century.
His son Andrew said: “I will now be running the shop with the help of my brother Mark.
“Dad will still come in for a couple of days a week though to help out. “We have revamped the shop and started offering sandwiches and curry sauce and our prize-winning pies are very popular.
“Trade has really picked up and so hopefully, the business has a bright future and we can continue the family tradition.”
