A PINCH of Salt was the title of the talk by Bill Davies to 50 of our members and friends.
He spoke about his career at sea with amusing anecdotes about the Royal Navy and his seafaring heroes.
He was easy to listen to and we were thoroughly entertained.
During the evening, members packed a large number of shoe boxes to be sent to some of our troops in Afghanistan.
Five of our committee would be stepping down, so members were asked to nominate replacements to be voted on at our next meeting.
There was a reminder about the Elgar trip to Stratford-on-Avon Theatre, the Christmas shopping trip to Chester and there was an invitation to Storridge WI’s Christmas meeting on December 8.
A group of members have offered to arrange buffet refreshments at our Christmas meeting on December 7 We were also pleased to report that our team were successful in the recent skittles match.
