A WOMAN who died in a road accident at the weekend was “well-loved and extremely talented”, according to her bandmates.
Justine Miskimmin – who died on Sunday morning after her car went into a tree on the A44 near Egdon – was the drummer for Rubber Nuns, an all-female rock group who play at venues around the county.
Her bandmates left an emotional tribute to 22-year-old Miss Miskimmin, of Wyld’s Lane, Worcester, in which they described her as their “sister” and said she was a “fiercely confident, talented, funny and charming young lady who was never afraid to speak her mind or back down when things got tough”.
A spokesman for the band said: “She was a well respected manager, friend, musician, lyricist and – above all – a sister to us all.
“She was one of the best drummers and songwriters any of us had met and she always managed to do it whilst wearing heels and looking damn good at the same time.”
Miss Miskimmin was going to Moreton-in-Marsh where she worked as a manager in Tesco when the crash happened at 5.50am on Sunday. An inquest into her death was opened and adjourned by the Worcestershire coroner yesterday.
