A COLLECTION of poems penned by a Buddhist teacher is to be launched in Malvern.

David Brazier, whose parents lived in Upton-upon-Severn, has written several non-fiction books, but Her Mother’s Eyes is his first collection of poems. Best known as a teacher of Buddhism and psychotherapy, Mr Brazier was recently listed along with the Dalai Lama as one of the 12 Buddhist commentators on current affairs most worth following on Twitter.

“I’m really pleased to be launching my first collection in Malvern, whose beautiful hills I have walked upon many times.”

The book launch will take place at the Grove, Avenue Road, from 7.30pm on Friday.

It will be hosted by Fiona Robyn and Kaspalita Thompson, who run a Pureland Buddhist group in Malvern.
