EVESHAM United manager Paul West hopes to have at least two new faces in his squad prior to tomorrow’s Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division trip to St Albans City (3pm).

The Robins have been rocked recently by the sackings of disgraced striker Leo Brown and keeper Nathan Vaughan.

But, as Evesham prepare to play their first game since the 5-1 FA Trophy first qualifying round replay thrashing at league rivals Barwell, West is keen to add to his squad.

“Wayne Daniel and Simon Fitter are both suspended for one game and with the other two gone I want a few fresh faces,” the Robins boss said.

“The break is never ideal, especially when you’ve had a result like we did in our last game. You want to get it out of your system as soon as you can.

“But we have been working hard in training and can now focus on our football.”

Defenders Steve Luckett (groin) and Andy Jones (ankle) are likely to miss out at St Albans, but West will have striker Marcus Palmer at his disposal after he rejected a move to Westfields.

Meanwhile, Division One South and West basement boys Stourport Swifts travel to Bridgwater Town (3pm) hoping to secure their second win of the season.
