PEOPLE who posed for photographic family portraits at a city store are being asked to come and get their pictures and save them from the tip.
About two dozen framed photographs worth more than £2,000 were left behind when Wink Photography cleared out of their premises in Cathedral Plaza in Worcester.
The lease was taken on by Gods of Ink tattoo studio in August, and the new owners Lisa and Mark Richmond found the unwanted pictures in the basement, boxed but discarded.
Some of the boxes have first or surnames on, but more are just blank or only have order reference numbers on.
The Richmonds are hoping to reunite the pictures with the people in the portraits, and save them from the rubbish tip.
“For whatever reason, the people in the photos did not want them, but when we found them we thought it would be a shame to just throw them in the bin or burn them,” said Mrs Richmond.
“There are pictures which the people in them may want to keep.
“Some of the bigger portraits are priced at £900, and show families and couples with their babies.
“It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t try and trace their owners. We don’t want the pictures and all we might do is suggest a donation to Acorns Children’s Hospice if people come and get them.”
Among the names listed are; Joe and Nicole Mason, Charlotte Hastings, Estelle Field, Michelle Egan, Bushnell, Lydia and Steven Knight, Vanessa and Clive Brown, Marie and Ricky and Couttie and Frost. The store is at 16/17 Lychgate Mall in Cathedral Plaza, Worcester WR1 2QS and staff can be contacted on 07732 523262.
