A SUSPECTED homophobic attack left a man with injuries to his face.

Police officers were called to Quay Street in Worcester at about 10.15pm on Wednesday, November 9 where they found an injured man in his 20s.

He did not need treatement by paramedics but told officers he had been assaulted by a mixed-race man and it was because he was gay.

PC Jon Griffith, investigating, said: "We are keen to find out the full facts about this incident and what the motivation was for the assault.

"If you were in Quay Street and witnessed this assault or any other altercations in the area at the time, we would like to hear from you."
