A STAINED glass window commemorating the work of nurses in Worcester has been unveiled.
The window, in the Jenny Lind Chapel at the former Worcester Royal Infirmary, was unveiled by Worcester antiques expert Henry Sandon, who is pictured with the designer Nick Upton.
It was paid for by the Worcester Royal Infirmary Nurses’ League as a lasting memorial to the those who worked at the hospital.
The building now forms part of the University of Worcester’s city campus.
The window was made by Rob Paddock, of the Art of Glass at Burcott Forge, near Bromsgrove.
Dr Martin Doughty, of the university, said: “This stained glass window is a welcome addition to all those who worked at the hospital.”
