HORDES of screaming fans are expected to flock to a Worcester nightclub next week when TV heartthrob Mark Wright drops by the Faithful City.

The 24-year-old former star of hit ITV2 show The Only Way is Essex (known by fans as Towie) will be appearing at Bushwackers in Trinity Street on Monday in the event run in association with your Worcester News.

Fresh from his stint on the latest series of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Wright will be meeting and greeting fans and taking part in the club’s own version of the show’s stomach-turning bushtucker trials.

And five pairs of VIP tickets are up for grabs for lucky readers who correctly answer a simple question.

Darren Pinches, a partner at Bushwackers, said he was delighted Wright had chosen Worcester to make one of his first public appearances on his return to the UK.

“I just think it’s going to be amazing,” he said. “It’s so nice for Worcester because normally the celebrities go to the bigger cities. I think it’s going to be quite fun.

“His agent said we’re one of his first [appearances] in the UK. It’s nice for us to get chosen and it’s happening just before Christmas to brighten everyone up with all the gloom and bad news that’s about.”

Perma-tanned ladies man Wright won over audiences with his Essex charm on this year’s I’m A Celebrity... and was voted through to the final.

He just missed out on being crowned king of the jungle on Saturday night, coming a close second to McFly’s Dougie Poynter.

The former semi-professional footballer and club promoter starred in three series of Towie, announcing in October he would be leaving the “dramality” show at the end of the current series.

Wright will be taking to the Bushwackers’ stage at about midnight.

Tickets cost £3 and are available from Sin in New Street on the night.

To be in with a chance of winning one of five pairs of VIP tickets, simply answer the following question: Who beat Mark Wright to be crowned King of the Jungle in this year’s final of ‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’?
