FUND-raising is proving a hair-raising experience for employees of a local accountancy firm.

Efforts to support the Little Princess Trust saw staff at Kendall Wadley’s Malvern office don wigs of all styles and colours at their desks.

Workers paid £5 each to wear a wig for the day, with the proceeds going to the charity, which provides real hair wigs to children suffering hair loss due to cancer treatment.

Mark Ashworth, chief executive of Kendall Wadley, which also has offices in Worcester and Hereford, said: “Our staff thoroughly enjoyed this fund-raising activity. It was good fun and means all the more when it’s for such a great charity.”

Little Princess Trust’s charity manager Monica Glass said: “We are incredibly grateful to all staff at Kendall Wadley for their wonderful support.

“We rely solely on the efforts of people in the community to help raise funds for the charity and we particularly enjoy hearing of the unusual and fun ideas that our supporters come up with.”

Little Princess Trust is one of nine charities being supported by the Kendall Wadley LLP Charitable Trust, which was set up to celebrate the company’s 150th anniversary.
