A BAND of Worcester teenagers were due to provide entertainment at a global summit of education ministers today.
Granny’s Attic, who are Bishop Perowne CE Performing Arts College students Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne, George Sansome and Lewis Wood, have been booked to play at the Education World Forum (EWF) in London’s Park Lane Hotel for the conference dinner.
The energetic folk band members, who use guitar, fiddle, melodeon and vocals to play traditional tunes and their own compositions, were chosen following their performance at a national education conference at the ICC in Birmingham last year.
The forum brings together representatives from more than 60 countries to share ideas, form links and discuss education policy.
It is hosted by the British Educational Suppliers Association, with support from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department for Education, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and EWF industry partners.
