BRICYCLES, a social enterprise promoting cycling and recycling in Malvern, recently ran a competition to raise money on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.
The winners of the top two prizes were Susan Box, of Malvern, who won the ladies’ bike, and Robin Daunter, of Evesham, who won the men’s bike.
Bricycles director Nick Trotman said: “Promoting cycling as a positive activity for individual health as well as being an environmentally friendly way to travel has been important to us right from the start of our business.
“Supporting the BHF seemed to be an obvious choice and a great way to commemorate our first year.
“We raised a total of £220 for the BHF.
“We rehomed almost 200 bicycles last year and sent 70 to projects abroad.
“This competition was a lovely way to start 2012 and we are looking forward to continuing our work.”
