A LEADING Ledbury business will be welcoming a royal visitor next month.
The Princess Royal will be touring soft fruit and farming manufacturing company Haygrove on Monday, February 13.
Haygrove has been chosen in recognition of the sustainable business practices it uses in its farming operations both at home and in South Africa.
Its Bright Futures project at Haygrove Heaven in South Africa helps local farmers from disadvantaged communities to improve their skills and enter into their own business partnerships with the company.
Other sustainability initiatives at Haygrove include its International School of Management, based in Ledbury, and the Gambia is Good project, which is run in partnership with Hereford charity Concern Universal.
Angus Davidson, chairman of Haygrove, said: “We are honoured to receive the Princess Royal and look forward to discussing the huge opportunity of skills and knowledge transfer, specifically from small and medium-sized businesses such as ourselves, to more efficiently effect long-term positive change in developing countries.”
