IT may not be Wimbledon Common but children from a school near Malvern have been doing their bit for the environment by Wombling free on the Malvern Hills.
Pupils from the Downs Malvern in Colwall, took part in headmaster, Alastair Cook’s Aventure and Wombling Group by taking to Brockhill Road, which links Colwall to West Malvern, to tidy up the popular track.
They collected three large bags of drinks cans, plastic bottles and general rubbish by using litter grips and heavy-duty rubbish bags loaned to the school by the Malvern Hills Conservators.
