TODDLERS got stuck into sand and modelling dough at a messy play session in a village near Evesham.

The children enjoyed a fun-filled morning of activities run by Broadway Children’s Centre for Cleeve Prior Toddlers Group. The group has grown from strength to strength since it was formed by Cleeve Prior Pre-school in October last year.

Parent and volunteer Pippa Wilkinson said the messy play session proved popular with the children, who were aged from nine weeks to four years. “We had a really lovely time,” she said. “Children learn through play and that’s the philosophy we try to follow at the toddler group and preschool.

“Kids don’t mind being messy and sessions like this allow them to explore and be creative.”
