RACING fans wanting to avoid the crowds and the cold at the Cheltenham Gold Cup are being given an alternative option by a Worcester charity.
St Richard’s Hospice is holding a fund-raiser at Worcester Racecourse on Gold Cup day, where guests can enjoy a two-course lunch and watch all seven races on a big screen.
There will even be the chance to place bets with a resident bookmaker at the event on Friday, March 16.
Rachel Jones, St Richard’s corporate fund-raiser, said: “What better way to watch the Gold Cup than with friends in the warmth. You can avoid the crowds, have a great lunch and relax.
Tickets cost £35 and can be bought from Rachel Jones on 01905 763963.
