A FOOTBALL match being held in memory of a talented young player is all set to go ahead, say club officials.
The Scott Holden memorial match will kick off at 2pm today at Pershore Town FC ground in King George's Way, Pershore.
Despite yesterday's covering of snow "the surface is playable" said Ian Wilcox, secretary of Drakes Broughton Rangers Football Club.
The 16-year-old had played his football with the side.
The Pershore High School pupil was found dead in his bedroom at the family home in Newlands on Saturday, December 24.
It is not yet known what caused his death.
All funds raised at the game will go to the Midlands Air Ambulance Service.
