A MAN killed his mentally ill cousin with a spade, a jury at Worcester Crown Court has ruled.
Cattle farmer Roger Troughton had already pleaded guilty to the Mother's Day manslaughter of Robin Troughton before the eight-day trial began.
He claimed the 59-year-old had attacked him with a pair of metal tree loppers first.
But Troughton, 74, of Wood Street Farm, Wood Street, Bushley, near Upton-on-Severn, was found guilty of murder this afternoon after just four hours of deliberation. He will be sentenced tomorrow.
