ANOTHER high school in Worcester is set to be turned into an academy.
Bishop Perowne Church of England College's application supported by Yamazak Mazak UK Limited, the King’s School Worcester and the University of Worcester has been accepted by government.
Worcester MP Robin Walker, who is a keen supporter of academies, had written in support of the application to the Secretary of State Michael Gove.
He has welcomed the move and said the school in Merriman's Hill is hoping to convert to an academy on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 assuming all legalities are cleared up.
