PEOPLE in Quest Hills Road, Malvern Link, were yesterday waiting anxiously for Severn Trent Water to fix a leak which has been running for nearly two weeks and has now turned into ice.
The leak, from a stop tap in Landsowne Road, is running down a footpath called Shelburne Terrace, which is the only access to four homes.
The leak started on Friday, January 27, and residents say they have contacted the water company numerous times, but to no avail.
On Wednesday, Severn Trent said a work crew should be on site yesterday morning, but as the Worcester News went to press yesterday evening, residents were still waiting for them to arrive.
Resident Stephen Lawrence said: “This has been the coldest spell of the winter and parts of the paths have frozen.
"We have to negotiate a mixture of running water and dangerous ice.
Fellow resident Frances Goodwin said: “It’s a miracle no one has fallen and hurt themselves.
"My husband walks with a stick and he spent virtually a week housebound because he didn’t want to risk it.”

I had a run in with them and when i got my solicitor to spell out there obligations they couldnt do enough.
Keep complaining where there is bad service and dont be afraid to step on toes and name names to get things done.
