A WORCESTER couple are setting off on a 4,000-mile drive to Gambia to deliver much-needed materials to help equip schools.
David and Sue Connellan, of Worcester’s Mobile Mechanic, are undertaking the 14-day trip in support of the Glory Baptist Charity which works to raise funds to support school-building projects in Gambia.
Funds being raised at present will go towards refurbishing vehicles used for transporting building materials in the country.
Worcester’s Mobile Mechanic is a customer of Andrew Page, a car parts supplier which is also supporting the trip.
Mr Connellan said: “Sue and I will undertake the journey to The Gambia which will be an arduous trip but the end result will be a new school for the children of the area.”
