THE speakers at the February meeting were Tony and Liz Poole, formerly from Pershore.
Over the last 15 years, they have restored and extended a derelict cottage in the hills of Naxos, far away from the coast and tourist areas.
Their property, formerly the residence of the village shoemaker, had been unoccupied for 25 years so they faced a mammoth task.
Members watched with great interest how the house had steadily developed over the years, and learned how the Pooles had integrated into a very traditional Greek village.
The raffle was won by Don Manson.
The next meeting will be on Thursday, March 29, 7.30pm for 8pm at the Worcester Golf and Country Club, Bransford Road, Worcester, when Ray Aspden will give a presentation on the Palace of Nestor at Pylos.
New members and visitors are always welcome.
