A FORMER Royal Engineer met Mayor of Worcester David Tibbutt before continuing on a 2,500-mile walk of UK’s canal network to raise money for Help for Heroes.
In February, Doug Hamilton-Cox, aged 68, began his series of charity walks along the footpaths of the United Kingdom’s canal network and which will take three years to complete.
After completing walks along the Exeter, Taunton and Bridgwater canals, Mr Hamilton-Cox is tackling those in the Midlands.
He has already raised nearly £50,000 for the charity.
