ALTHOUGH our rendition of Jerusalem wasn’t the musical highlight of the year, the business part was the highlight of our March meeting.
We were invited to sign up to visit Oxford Botanical Gardens and Highgrove, to sign up for a seven-mile daffodil walk around Pendock and to make a cake for the county meeting.
Helen Chiverton gave an excellent report on publicity and the WI magazine and encouraged us to buy WI branded goods from supermarkets.
Speaker Karen Tomlin told us about second-skin lingerie and the bra-hanging world record attempt.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday, April 12, at 7.30pm in Hanley Swan Village Hall; when Helen Bonnet will speak on how to train a Guide dog.
I can already hear the oohs and aahs.
Visitors are always welcome.
