TWO teenage girls were headbutted in the face following an altercation with a man at a fun fair on Worcester Racecourse.

The incident took place near the main entrance of the fair at about 10pm on Friday and police are appealing for witnesses.

The man is described as Asian and aged in his 20s. He was wearing a white Adidas top.

He was with a white woman, who was wearing a white cardigan, and after the incident they were seen leaving the fair in the direction of Castle Street.

A 20-year-old man was arrested near the scene in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail while investigations continue.

PC James Prosser, of Worcester police station, said: “This was quite a vicious attack on two girls aged 15 and 17. Luckily, neither were injured in the assault.”
