MORE than 260 brides and grooms-to-be attended the I Will wedding show at Worcester Rugby Club.

The largest event in the I Will calendar showcased more than 100 exhibitors offering a range of wedding services from cakes and catering to sweets and stationery, music and marquee hire.

There were two catwalk shows, choreographed by the Fashion Show Company and featuring gowns and menswear from 2 Have & 2 Hold (Kidderminster), Jessica Ley Brides (Evesham), Sassy Boutique (Worcester), A-Z Wedding Services (Stourport), Bridal Gallery of Malvern, Bridal Gowns of Droitwich, Worn Once with Love (Hagley), Greenwoods of Worcester, and this year’s sponsors, Bridal Boutique of Worcester.

Exhibitor Lyn Kirk, of Jessica Ley Brides, said: “It was a wonderful day, and fantastic to see professional models wearing my gowns on the catwalk. We’re very new to the wedding fair scene, but everything was so well organised and we had some positive enquiries – I loved it.”

Emma Harris, of Gainsborough Studio Bakery, Kidderminster, said: “This is one of the larger wedding shows we attend, and it seemed pretty busy – we had lots of interest and some nice comments. The event was well organised.”

The next I Will show takes place on Sunday, April 29, at Cotswold House Hotel in Chipping Campden.

The hotel will host about 25 exhibitors. The show runs from 11am to 3.30pm, and there will be a free prize draw to win the dress of your dreams.

The I Will wedding shows – run by the people behind your Worcester News and sister titles the Kidderminster Shuttle, Bromsgrove Advertiser, Redditch Advertiser, Stourbridge News, Halesowen News and Dudley News – bring together an array of services under one roof.

This means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.
