PUPILS from a Worcestershire primary school enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at their local supermarket.
Children at Martley CE Primary School visited the Tesco store in St Peter’s, Worcester, where they were treated to a guided tour from community champion Kate Potham and personnel manager Helen Jackson.
Ms Potham said: “It was great taking the pupils on the guided tour.
"They were so interested and really enjoyed going through to the back of the store, especially to see the walk-in freezers.
“I think it’s important for youngsters to have the opportunity to experience the day to day running of a large business.
“I hope the tour was useful and wish them luck with their school project.”
Following the tour, they were given a talk about the local produce stocked in store to help with a project they are working on about where food comes from.
