CALLING all chocoholics! You don't have to over-indulge on Easter Sunday to satisfy your cravings.

Besides being an irresistible treat, chocolate is a wonderfully natural beauty solution - and best of all, there are no calories involved.

So if you're looking to extend your abstinence past Lent or celebrate Easter without slipping into a sugar-induced coma, reach for cocoa-inspired cosmetics and reap the benefits.

THE FEEL-GOOD FACTOR

From massages and body scrubs to waxes and pedicures, chocolate is fast gaining popularity as the star ingredient on spa menus.

With tempting signature treatments like whipped cocoa baths and chocolate facials to indulge in, you can practically bask top-to-toe in the stuff guilt-free.

"Chocolate really is a thing of beauty," says Renee Elliott, founder of Planet Organic.

"Not only is it delicious, it's also a strong antioxidant. Chocolate has phenols that support the immune system, reduce your risk of cancer and help your heart.

"It also makes you feel good. Chocolate stimulates serotonin and endorphins in the brain for that feeling of joy. And it has a substance that calms you, making your troubles seem smaller and the world brighter."

Relaxing, uplifting and antioxidant-packed, it's little wonder that chocolate has become everyone's new beauty craving.

BATHROOM MELTDOWN

If you're cutting down on your chocolate intake, take your obsession to the bathroom.

Transform your shelves into a virtual larder stocked with sweet treats, from chocolate milk body wash, to hot cocoa bubble bath and rich fragrant scrubs.

"Research shows endorphins are released simply by smelling chocolate, so you don't need to eat it to feel good," explains David English from The Body Shop, which recently launched a Chocomania range of body products.

"Cocoa butter naturally helps moisturise the skin and helps maintain water levels longer term."

Indeed, choc-inspired pamper products are perfect for rejuvenating spring skin - the cocoa butter properties nourish the skin, as well as sloughing off dead cells.

TRY: The Body Shop Chocomania range, from £2 (www.thebodyshop.co.uk); Philip B Chocolate Milk Body Wash & Bubble Bath, £16.90 (www.salonskincare.co.uk); Philosophy 3-Piece Warm & Toasty Collection which includes Hot Cocoa shampoo, bath and shower gel, £33.52 (www.qvcuk.com); Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Scrub, £4.99 (Boots); Superdrug Nourishing Chocolate Mud Mask, 99p.

MOCHA MAKE-UP

If you don't like the idea of smothering cocoa-fragranced products on your skin, try the sultry chocolate shades available for eyes, lips and nails instead.

Chocolate smoky eyes are one of the easiest ways to access the look but don't be too greedy and accessorise with brown-hued lips or you'll risk the dipped-in-chocolate effect.

"Replace your dark grey powder eyeshadows with golden creamy ones," suggests Max Factor make-up artist Caroline Barnes.

"It's a modern, simple way to add light and freshness to your eyes, especially when you're feeling tired. Use the lightest shade on the inner eye corners, then smudge a chocolate cream shadow over your lid. It's easy and effective."

Rather than naughtily dipping your fingers into chocolate sauce, try a rich brown nail polish on your talons. Sadly, licking your fingers won't give off the same serotonin high.
