Police are investigating the circumstances of the death
A WOMAN'S body was discovered at a flat in the Dines Green area of the city last night.
Police officers attended a property in Gresham Road just after 6.30pm after a member of the public raised concerns about the safety of a woman living at the address.
The woman, who was in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene and her death is being treated as unexplained.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "Unfortunately, upon entering the property, officers found the body of a woman in her 40s who was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
"Police work is ongoing at the address and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"A post mortem will be arranged in due course."
