THE odd shower couldn’t put a damper on youngsters’ spirits as they enjoyed a “CountryTastic” day out at Malvern’s Three Counties Showground yesterday.
The popular annual event offers children a host of hands-on activities, all themed around food, farming and the countryside.
Visitors enjoyed live milking displays and tried their hand at churning butter, while BBC Countryfile presenter Adam Henson also made an appearance, touring the showground and helping out with animal parades.
Three Counties Agricultural Society spokesman Sharon Gilbert said the event was first introduced to try to bridge the gap between schools and agriculture and connect children with the sources of the food they eat.
“We are extremely proud of CountryTastic, which has achieved significant popularity in just a few years, and endorsement from local businesses and educational organisations,” she said.
