POLICE investigating the murder of Worcester woman Jacqueline Harrison have this morning been granted an extra 36 hours to question a suspect.
The extension was given by Worcester magistrates to allow officers further time to question William Cummins, aged 51, who was arrested in Dorset on Sunday.
Jacqueline Harrison, known as Jackie, was found at her flat in Gresham Road, Dines Green, Worcester on Thursday.
A post-mortem examination revealed the 48-year-old had suffered a significant assault, and an inquest has been opened and adjourned.
Officers investigating her death have revealed the last known sighting of her was on Saturday, March 17, and have appealed for anyone who saw her on or after that date to contact them using the non-emergency number 101. Ask for the Operation Mallard incident room at Worcester Police Station.
