DETECTIVES investigating the death of a woman in Worcester are releasing a photograph as part of their attempts to trace her last known movements.

Jacqueline Harrison, aged 48 and known as Jackie, was found dead at her flat in Gresham Road, on Thursday, April 12. She had been injured in a serious assault.

Investigating officers say she was last seen on Saturday, March 17.

Detective Inspector Gerry Smith, who is leading the inquiry, said: "We charged a man with Jackie's murder last week, however our inquiries continue into what happened to her.

"We still do not know what her whereabouts were for nearly four weeks before she was found dead in her flat by officers and it's vital we trace her last known movements.

"Jackie had a problem with alcohol dependency and mixed with a lot of other people in Worcester who also drank heavily, as well as the homeless. She was known to go off for days and sofa surf' with people she knew.

"We want to speak to anyone who knew her, no matter how little, and that's why we are releasing her photo at this time in case it jogs anyone's memory.

"We need to know who she associated with, especially in recent weeks. Please think back: did you see Jackie recently, what was she doing and who was she with?"

DI Smith and the Operation Mallard team can be contacted via the non-emergency police number 101 or information can be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

William Joseph Cummins, aged 51 and of no fixed abode, was charged with murdering Jaqueline Harrison on Thursday, April 19. He was remanded into custody at Worcester Crown Court until July 16.
