THE new season of open-air concerts in a county park gets underway on Sunday.
First up in the Bands in the Lido Park series presented by Droitwich Town Council will be the New Washboard Syncopators and runs weekly until Sunday, August 26, when the Blackwell Concert Band will perform.
They will usually run from 2.30-4.30pm but the triple bill for the Diamond Jubilee’s Big Lunch on Sunday, June 3 will start at 12.30pm.
Along the way the event, sponsored by the Droitwich Spa Area Forum for Older People, will see concerts given in the bandstand by bands from Coventry, Malvern, Alcester and more.
