WORCESTERSHIRE cricket legend Sir Ian Botham has put on his walking shoes for charity once again.
The famous fund-raiser joined former British tennis number one Tim Henman on the Birmingham to Clent Hills leg of a nationwide walk in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
They were supported by Tony Caldwell, of St Patrick’s Close, Evesham, who has raised more than £1 million for the charity since 1977 when his son Simon, who died from the disease, had the illness diagnosed at the age of three.
He said: “Sir Ian does a really good job for us. This year I didn’t walk it all but I have in the past.
“Tim Henman was very nice and it is always good to speak to people raising money.”
