THIS is the moment an amateur photographer captured the joys of spring at its busy best.
Peter Willis, of Ombersley Road, Worcester, placed the imitation post box in his garden about three years ago but it is only in the last three weeks he has noticed any activity in and out of the feature.
The 67-year-old, a member of Worcestershire Camera Club, which meets at St Stephen’s Church in Droitwich Road, said the green and yellow birds, the common Great tit, with a striking glossy black head and white cheeks had been shuttling back and forth with nesting materials and food.
“I am quite pleased how they came out, it’s better than watching telly,” said Mr Willis. “One can only imagine what is going on inside. I was tempted to get the camera out and I thought it was too good an opportunity to miss.
“I got the tripod out of the boot and I suppose I spent an hour-and-a-half taking pictures of the activity.”
