FRIENDS of a 23-year-old rugby player have paid tribute to him after he died whilst watching a match at Worcester’s Sixways stadium on Sunday.
Matson rugby player, Dominic Cullen, of Gloucester, played in the North Gloucester Combination Cup early in the day before travelling to Worcester to watch his club's under-17s team in the National U17 Championship.
It is believed he collapsed in the bathroom around 5pm after saying he felt unwell. Attempts were then made to revive him at the scene and he was taken to hospital.
Darren Mann, manager of Matson seniors, said: “He was a great guy. Everybody liked him. There is nothing bad to say about him. It is a massive shock.”
