A MASH-up of local and out of town talent will feature in a packed night of free live music and art.

The Firefly, in Lowesmoor, hosts the night presented by Young Pop Things on Friday, May 25 from 8.30pm.

Topping the bill are Calm Like a Riot, south Worcestershire’s self-proclaimed fourth best indie hip hop outfit of 2008, whose energetic show combines punchy vocals, scratchy guitar and funky upbeat rhythm section.

Happy-go-lucky types, God Save the King provide a collision of post-punk and art-pop and the quartet aim to shock, bedazzle and endear themselves to crowds.

Lancaster’s lo-fi glam-rock band The Thyme Machine visit the city to entertain with their fun stage presence, while five-piece Fustercluk, formerly known as New Chapter, make a return to the live circuit with a harder punk-rock fronted by Nicola Hardy's fiery vocals.

An art exhibition will feature work from Adam Daffurn, with more artists and photographers to be announced.

Adam’s work is said to range from dark and surreal, to striking and vibrant, with bursts of colour and thought provoking imagery.
