AT least seven cars has their tyres deliberately slashed during a single day in and around Malvern.

Police in the town are appealing for witnesses to the incidents which took place on Wednesday that saw the cars have at least one tyre punctured between 8.30am and 1pm.

The vehicles targeted were mainly parked in the areas of Thirlstane Road, College Road, Wells Road and Belle Vue Terrace or on roads near to Malvern College.

PC Jemma Greenow, from the Chase local policing team, said: "This is a huge amount of damage caused in a short space of time during daylight hours.

"Someone must have seen something which can help us with our inquiries and I would urge anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area around the college yesterday morning to contact us as soon as possible.

"It is likely that there are more victims yet to come forward and I would urge anyone who has also had their vehicle damaged in this way to get in touch."

Anyone with information can call PC Greenow on 0300 333 3000, quoting 501S 160512, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
