HUNDREDS of young farmers will be making their way to Bullockhurst Farm at Rock, near Kidderminster, on Saturday, May 26, for the big day in the local Young Farmers’ Club calendar.

It’s the day of the 64th Worcestershire Young Farmers Annual County Show with a host of skills on display from tractor driving to zumba dancing.

“Everybody is welcome to come and enjoy the many different events and stalls organised by our volunteer members,” said show chairman John Baines.

“From cake decorating to chariot racing, livestock judging to photography, this show really does have a little bit of everything for all the family to enjoy.

“Tickets are £5 for adults and children aged under 10 go free.

Events run throughout the day and there will be an all-day barbecue, as well as a licensed bar.”

Young Farmers is a voluntary organisation led by young people, for young people. It helps to raise cash for charities nationwide every year.

“Our members’ age range is extremely varied but one thing that remains a constant throughout this organisation is their determination and hard work to keep the rural community alive and kicking,”

Mr Baines said.

“More than 300 members of Young Farmers will be exhibiting and competing at this event. We do so much throughout the year and the County Show is the pinnacle of our year.”
