TWO elderly women were taken to hospital after a crash which left their car on its roof.
The incident happened on the A443 Hallow Road, Worcester, near the junction to the household recycling centre, just before 12.30pm.
Residents rushed out of their houses after hearing the bang of the collision. They found a blue Rover car on its roof, having been in a collision with a blue Volvo estate.
Emergency services were called and two fire engines, two ambulances, police cars and other vehicles rushed to the scene.
The driver of the vehicle freed herself, but her passenger had to be freed by the fire crews.

• UPDATE 3pm: It is understood that the accident has now been cleared.
