TWO women were taken to hospital after a crash left their car on its roof.
The incident happened on the A443 Hallow Road, Worcester, near the junction to the household recycling centre, just before 12.30pm.
People rushed out of their houses after hearing the bang of the collision.
They found a blue Rover car on its roof after it was in collision with a blue Volvo estate.
Emergency services were called and two fire engines, two ambulances, police cars and other vehicles arrived at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle got out of the wreckage herself, but her passenger had to be freed by the fire crews.
The driver and passenger were both taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. It is not though they were seriously injured.
Driver Kerry Evans of Worcester was several cars behind the crash when it happened.
She said: “I didn’t see it but I saw cars slowing down and stopping.
"I pulled over and went up to see what I could do.
"One of the ladies got herself out, but her passenger had to wait for the fire brigade to come and rescue her.
"I don’t think either them was very badly injured, so they were quite lucky.”
