THERE were furry goings-on in woods near Worcester as children gathered for a teddy bears picnic.
More than 100 toddlers from across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire donned fancy dress, face paint and brought along their favourite teddy for the fun and friendly event at Abberley Hall School at Great Witley.
Having been greeted by large teddy bears at the entrance gates, they were taken for a guided walk around the woodland before settling down for some sticky honey sandwiches underneath the distinctive Abberley clock tower, which stands 161 feet tall.
Each youngster went away with a full tummy and a goodie bag complete with an Abberley Hall bear as a companion for their own toy.
