For ‘One Night Only’, the Swan Theatre was transformed into the Land of Smiles when talented youth from Worcestershire performed in aid of vulnerable youths in Northern Thailand.

They had been invited by Sue and Robert Wilson to support the charity HANDS based in Malvern, and who work to combat the trafficking of children and help displaced people of the region.

The capacity audience walked into the decorated foyer with the sights and sounds of Thailand before they were treated to an evening of sheer talent from the youngsters.

Charlie Green, Penny May, Lachlan and Amalia Werner, Granny’s Attic, WODYS, Harlequin Stage School, Hands Singer and Drummers, supported by Barry North and Robert Wilson, simply delighted the audience with their professionalism. The finale brought the whole company together as they sang what could be described as the ethos of HANDS, ‘Put a Little Love in Your Heart’ and Robert thanked everyone who had helped in any way.

Due to everyone’s efforts the amazing sum of £7500 was raised.

Sue said “We are quite overwhelmed.

“This is more than we had hoped for and every penny will be spent directly to benefit the people’.
