A 25-YEAR-old Worcester man who admitted making indecent photographs of children and downloading pornography has been remanded on bail for sentence.

Recorder Satinder Hunjan QC ordered that there should be a condition of residence for Christopher Barber but his barrister Harpreet Sandhu declined to give the address in open court.

The recorder at Worcester Crown Court accepted a written note and the address was not made public.

Barber, whose address was previously given as Pinkett Street, Worcester, pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children between June 30 and October 6 last year.

He also admitted breaching a sexual offences prevention order (SOPO) made at Merthyr Tydfil court in February last year.

Paul Whitfield, prosecuting, said the gravity of the case was the breach of the SOPO.

Barber had trawled the internet obtaining 157 images which he had viewed or saved.

Mr Sandhu told the court that Barber had been the recipient of images through file-sharing and was not a person who conveyed images to other people.

Sentencing will be during the week beginning July 2.
