A WOMAN and her brother are among three people who died in a car crash near Pershore on Saturday.

Rebecca Townsend, aged 26, of Wick, Pershore, and her 22-year-old brother Luke Morris died after the black Nissan 200 SX Coupe he was driving came off the B4084 and collided with a tree at Avon Bank close to Pershore Agricultural College at around 12.35am.

Mr Morris's partner Elizabeth Stanley, 24, who was the front seat passenger, also died following the crash.

The couple, from Kidderminster, were pronounced dead at the scene, shortly after emergency services arrived.

Mrs Townsend was in the back of a vehicle with a man.

She was taken to hospital, but pronounced dead a short time later.

He is currently being cared for at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he is in a critical but stable condition with multiple injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash and are appealing for witnesses.

Inspector Julian Smith said: "While everything suggests that no other vehicles were involved in this collision, we need to speak to anyone who may have any information about it.

"Tragically, three people from the same family have been killed and we need to provide answers for their next of kin, so please get in touch if you can help.

"We would particularly like to speak to anyone who saw a black Nissan coupe driving on the B4084 shortly after midnight."
