SIR – Sorry Harriett, you couldn’t be more wrong, leaving the EU would not prevent businesses having access to European markets (Worcester News, June 14).
There has always been reciprocal trade between continental Europe and the UK and there always will be regardless of what kind of political entities prevail.
As for repatriating powers back from Brussels or reducing the budget you must be dreaming.
With a ratio of 17-1 against us, and the weakest set of politicians possibly in our history, we haven’t a chance.
I can understand politicians’ enthusiasm for the EU if they are fortunate enough to get on the gravy train as the Kinnocks, Mandelson and so many others have done – the rewards and pension (for no discernible effort) are unbelievable.
The sooner we leave this corrupt disorganisation the sooner we can start to rebuild our economy.
