GUESTS at a Jubilee celebration in Worcester could have been forgiven for thinking they were seeing double.

The event, at the Lavender Children’s Centre in Warndon Primary School, was organised by the Worcester Twins Group, which is celebrating a huge influx of new members.

Chairman Nikki Flood said: “It’s been quite incredible this year, we’ve had about 10 sets of new twins join us so far, all born since February.

“Because there are so many twins in Worcester this year we thought it would be good to have a bit of a celebration and with the Jubilee just gone we decided to use that as our theme.”

The club, which boasts about 40 sets of twins aged up to about 12, has been running for more than a decade.

“We do a lot of social events and it’s just meant to be somewhere that people can support each other and celebrate being twins,” said Mrs Flood.
