No problems on football trip, say City fans

DESPITE warnings to England fans about going out to the Ukraine and Poland for this year’s Euro 2012 tournament, two Worcester City fans said they had a “wonderful” trip.

Nick Bawden and Shaun Tunley went to Donetsk and Kiev to watch England play in the group stages of the tournament.

Mr Bawden admitted that the pair did come across some racism while there, but said generally they had a great time.

He said: “All in all, we had a wonderful trip. The Ukrainians were very friendly and very helpful – even if they didn’t speak English, they would try and help you if you had any problems. We had no problems with any of them.”
