SIR – What a fabulous surprise I had when my sister sent me the picture in the Worcester News (July 2).
It was a great walk down memory lane.
I have listed the names of the girls I remember.
Christine Smith used to do my hair when she had the shop in Comer Gardens.
What fun we used to have and the trouble we always got into.
I moved to America in 1972 and after travelling extensively (my husband was in the United States Army) settled in Dallas, Texas.
Pictured above, second row (left to right), 4 Linda Jones, 8 Irene Andrews; third row, 10 Gillian Sparry; back row (left to right), 1 Diane Powell, 2 Diane Strong, 3 Pat Cartridge, 4 Sandra Woodward, 7 Christine Rouse, 8 Susan Kestell.
Again, thank you so much for the wonderful surprise.
PATRICIA LEBOEUF
(nee Cartridge), Texas
